What do you think of the Supreme Court
decision that ruled school desegregation plans unconstitutional?

How are we going to have equity now? We have no back-up from the government. Even though it’s 2007, we need laws to ensure equality of education.

I think it was extremely out of touch with what’s going on. The Supreme Court is supposed to help us, not hurt us.

It’s wrong because we already fought for this and won.

I don’t think very much of it. I came up at a time when if there was no government intervention, nothing would have changed. Then we had people who were small-minded and now we have justices who are just as bad. Adella Quinn

I don’t think it’s right. I don’t think white kids should be treated better than our kids. It’s the 1970s all over again. I can’t believe this is happening in 2007. Chalasha Lewis

I think they’re right. When I was coming up, the schools were just as bad as they are today. True, they have more black teachers, but the education isn’t any better.
