Do you think the governor’s CORI
package has gone far enough?

The only part I agree with would be for people working with children, to check to see if they were arrested on [charges of crimes] against children. No one else’s background should be looked into by the public.

If a person is applying to work in the vicinity of children, they should have a complete and thorough CORI check done … It is the job of the state Legislature to assist families in protecting their children from pedophiles. Ritajayne Rivera

Here’s the problem with the governor’s package: If you read the package carefully, it still leaves the door wide open for denying ex-offenders a job. Bobby Delleo

I honestly think that I’m not sympathetic to sex offenders … Look at all these priests. They should be put under the jail.

When I was 17 years old, I caught two drug-related felony convictions. Because of this, I can’t receive financial aid to go to college from the government, Now the only jobs I can get are those [where employers] don’t check CORI. So how am I supposed to support myself?
