To what extent do you think racial bias
affects Boston’s housing market?

I don’t think discrimination has anything to do with people having good housing. I think it has more to do with how people present themselves. I don’t really believe in discrimination. People discriminate more against ignorance than color. Danielle

I think a lot. People are discriminated against on the basis of ethnicity a lot.

It affects the housing market a lot. We don’t have a lot of options and the new housing isn’t being built for us. My daughter has a good job and she can’t find anything.

It plays a very big role in Boston’s housing market. It’s one of the major issues we face. Even in affordable housing there are exclusionary practices that keep blacks out. But a bigger issue is jobs. People can’t afford to buy.

The white realtors are taking over. They’re pushing us out and raising the rents.

I’ve never had a problem finding housing other than being too young. I’m 24 and don’t have credit history.
