Party for the Planet at Tifereth Israel, Malden
Boston COEJL (Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life) is sponsoring a “Party for the Planet”/Live Earth concert viewing for the Jewish community and guests from 7-11 p.m. at Tifereth Israel, 539 Salem St., Malden (off Rt. 60, near Rts. 1 and 93). MoveOn.org and former Vice President Al Gore are urging Americans to hold “Parties for the Planet” on this date to watch the “Live Earth” concert and listen to special remarks from Gore on a giant-screen TV. $3 admission includes Kosher dairy pot-luck buffet (Kosher food contributions and/or laptops for additional viewing are welcome). Dancing to Live Earth bands is encouraged. Boston COEJL members will be on hand to distribute information, discuss the statewide Synagogue Pledge to Green, the Green Guide for Massachusetts Synagogues and suggest ways by which individuals and organizations can become more earth-friendly. PHEN Support Group
Meeting/PBS Documentary Filming

At 5:30 p.m. the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), will be filming the support group session for an upcoming documentary. We are informing everyone of this exciting development well in advance in order to have a large turnout for our meeting. This segment will be aired on national television. Please come early. Show your support and be sure to attend. Prostate cancer survivors, men newly diagnosed with prostate cancer and their loved ones are invited to attend the support group meeting. Meetings are held in Boston at Dana-Farber Cancer, 44 Binney St., Smith Building, Room 304. Support group meetings are hosted on the second Wednesday of each month. The Kendall Square Concert Series
Moontit - Kendall Square at noon. Formed in Boston in 2006, Moontit began as a trio of friends — guitarist Mateo Lugo, bassist Daniel Wright, and drummer Alonso Zayas Bazan — exploring their creativity and musical ideas.  The group recently added Matan Chapnizka on the tenor sax and Dov Manski on keyboards, conjuring up a new palette of sound that has turned Moontit into an uncommon rock, funk, and groove quintet. The Kendall Square Concert Series take place at 300 Athenaeum St., Kendall Square, Cambridge, every Thursday, noon-2 p.m. The Kendall Square Concert Series is sponsored by BioMed Realty Trust, Watermark Residences, and ConstellationCenter.
