Guard against falls

Window guards are necessary for caregivers of children under the age of 7 and for all windows above the first floor. Falls are one of the most common fatal and nonfatal accidents in children. Falls from windows are particularly serious but can be prevented. • Lock all unopened windows and doors. • Keep furniture or anything a child can climb on away from windows. • Open windows only from the top. • Install child safety window guards.
